Preparing for Unit4 Cloud migration

The first task you will need to complete is to migrate your database from Oracle to SQL Server. We would highly recommend that you consider migrating your database as soon as possible in the process, as there are a number of key elements that need to be addressed as part of the conversion and migration process.

These include interfaces with 3rd Party Systems, AG16’s, Excelerator reports and Database Views that may need to altered or rewritten. As Stored Procedures are no longer permitted in the Cloud Environment, these will need to be reviewed for relevance and potential replacement(s).

Resolving these issues early in the process will help to ensure a stable environment and system while minimising any risks associated with the migration process.
